A mismatched group of men report to Haglemoen military camp for refresher training. Among them are boisterous salesman Goggen Rask, day‑dreaming mechanic Bottolph Johansen, and wealthy ship‑owner Rieber Larsen Jr. Their unruly antics test Major Kampstrup, who struggles to keep them disciplined, inside the camp and out of the nurses' offices, leading to a series of chaotic, comedic situations.
