Kjeld Petersen portrays a merchant who, after taking a dip in the Sound, discovers his clothes have been stolen. When he reports the incident, the police find a conscription notice in his pocket and send him to the army. He ends up at a barracks under the strict supervision of sergeants 66 (played by Dirch) and 65 (Ove Sprogø), setting the stage for a series of classic comedic mishaps.
