While on Saint‑Tropez’s topless beaches they discuss marriage and parenting. At a night party Françoise flirts with Pierre, and they begin an affair. After a few trysts he wants out, but she declares love, tells her father without naming him, and Jacques asks Pierre to identify the seducer, leaving him in a painful dilemma.
