The Stooges play three hapless tramps who nearly ruin a farmer’s (Richard Fiske) firewood pile before stepping in to help Widow Jenkins (Eva McKenzie), recently swindled out of her land by a trio of crooks (Dick Curtis, Eddie Laughton, James Craig). Their attempt to repair her well erupts into an oil geyser, but they recover the deed and win the right to marry the now‑wealthy widow’s daughters. Moe urges Curly to wish for quintuplets, prompting Curly’s quip, “We’ll honeymoon in Canada!” as a nod to the famous Dionne quintuplets.
