Fast forward to 1999, Pooja is a 15-year-old tomboy in grade 10, enjoying a carefree childhood full of adventures like riding a motorbike. She shares a close friendship with Rachel, who makes wine and often discusses marriage and love, influencing Pooja’s views on relationships. Her personality is rebellious and spirited, setting the stage for her romantic pursuits.

During a school trip, Yardley approaches Pooja and confesses his crush on her, sparking her initial hope of romance. The encounter marks her first romantic interest and her desire to find love, although her childhood memories of friendship and adventure continue to dominate her view of life.

David, Pooja's cousin, elopes with Sreelakshmi, betraying Giri and adding to the emotional complications. This act causes Giri and David’s friendship to rupture, and Pooja witnesses the pain and treachery that can overshadow love and friendship.

Eventually, Pooja and Giri are led back to the same place where she first proposed. Giri admits he has loved her all along and kept memories like the keychain, revealing his unchanged feelings. Their love story culminates with their marriage and a joyous life together.

Now married with a toddler daughter, Pooja and Giri visit her friend Anna. During this visit, Giri reveals their daughter is named Julie, after Giri's past love, which annoys Pooja but underscores the enduring impact of first loves in men's hearts.
