In the sleepy village of Sonnenthal, football dominates every conversation. The mayor, eager to push the men’s team into the district league and boost his reputation, is challenged by the new school head, Barbara, who is fed up with the single‑minded obsession. She forms a women’s team that quickly becomes a genuine rival, forcing the men—and the mayor—to rethink their priorities.
