The film follows Tithi, a young woman from a lower‑middle‑class Bangladeshi family who turns to prostitution to support her relatives. Her brother, after marrying, uses the money she earns to start a business, improving the family’s finances. As prosperity rises, Tithi becomes increasingly detached, feeling shame and isolation even around her mother, and retreats into solitude.
