Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising

Mac and Kelly Radner are on the verge of welcoming their second child, creating a whirlwind of activity in their home. As they anticipate the arrival of their daughter, they are also gearing up to sell their house to the Baiers family, adding extra pressure to their preparations.

The Radners' realtor informs them that the sale of their home is currently in escrow for 30 days. This news emphasizes their urgency to finalize their move and complete the sale before their second child arrives.

Three college freshmen, Shelby, Beth, and Nora, find the existing fraternity culture oppressive and sexist, as they are denied the opportunity to host parties. Motivated by this, they decide to create their own sorority, Kappa Nu, aiming to establish an inclusive space for their own celebrations.

Teddy Sanders hosts a poker night, connecting with his old fraternity brothers who have since carved out lives for themselves. Despite their varied successes, Teddy finds himself struggling, burdened by a criminal record and unable to secure stable employment.

Teddy's friends rally to help Pete's boyfriend, Darren, orchestrate a memorable marriage proposal. However, the emotional fallout from this successful event leads Pete to ask Teddy to move out, leaving Teddy feeling lost and abandoned.

After being kicked out, Teddy returns to the old frat house near the Radners' home. There, he encounters Shelby, Beth, and Nora, who are struggling to fund their new sorority, and offers his assistance in throwing parties to raise the necessary money.

As Kappa Nu begins to thrive under Teddy's guidance, Mac and Kelly grow increasingly concerned that their new neighbors, the Baiers, will be deterred by the sorority's parties. Despite their pleas, Shelby refuses to cease their celebrations, leading to escalating tensions between the two groups.

Feeling threatened by Kappa Nu's activities, Mac and Kelly embark on a prank war against the sorority. They infest the party house with bed bugs, which forces the sorority members to leave for fumigation just as the potential buyers, the Baiers, arrive for a visit.

Facing financial difficulties, the Kappa Nu girls consider resorting to selling marijuana at their tailgate party to fund their sorority. This decision leads to chaos when their competition gets arrested, highlighting the desperation of their situation.

Teddy partners with the Radners to infiltrate Kappa Nu's party in an attempt to sabotage their operations. Under the guise of distraction, Mac secretly attempts to steal their marijuana, showcasing their willingness to do whatever it takes to reclaim control of their lives.

As the party spirals out of control, Teddy grapples with the reality of his life choices while Mac and Teddy become trapped in a garage. With help, they manage to escape, illustrating the unexpected challenges of their continuous rivalry.

While the atmosphere is charged with tension and chaos, Kelly steps in to inspire the Kappa Nu girls to remember their foundational ideals. Her encouragement prompts a shift in the party's dynamic, redirecting it towards a more positive and empowering celebration.

As the party intensifies, Paula goes into labor, further complicating the festivities. Meanwhile, Teddy reconciles with his friends Pete and Darren, pledging to support them as their best man, symbolizing the healing of broken friendships.

With renewed purpose and an influx of interest from other sorority girls, Kappa Nu transforms into an empowered collective. As they secure sufficient funds to maintain their house, the Radners reconsider their plans and ultimately choose to rent rather than sell.

Fast forward three months, Teddy finds success as a wedding planner specializing in LGBTQ+ ceremonies while Mac and Kelly have moved into a new home. They reflect on their parenting journey, welcoming their newborn daughter Mildred to meet Jimmy and Paula’s new son, Jimmy Jr.
