Raghava Jairam Sachiin Joshi is a successful singer whose star wears thin because of an escalating alcohol problem. While performing on a Goa stage, a confrontation with his rival Varun ends the set abruptly, sending him away from the spotlight. He slips into a nearby bar, where he encounters Gayathri Nandan Nazia Hussain, a bar singer who idolizes him. She is drawn to his voice and to a photograph of Lata Mangeshkar she’s admiring, and Raghava makes a bold promise: he will turn her into a genuine singing sensation and, in return, asks her to stop performing in bars.

Gayathri leaves her current job and heads to Hyderabad with Raghava, who persuades record producer Sravan Rao Ramesh to take a chance on her. But trouble arrives quickly. Raghava is attacked by thugs and badly hurt, and his manager Vivek Shashank downplays the incident, spinning a story that Raghava has left the country to perform abroad. After two difficult months of trying to reach him, a disillusioned Gayathri is forced to sing in bars once more.

Raghava recovers and sets out to find Gayathri. He apologizes for the delay, parts ways with Vivek, and they reunite with Sravan to formalize a recording agreement. Raghava begins coaching Gayathri, and she soon blossoms into a celebrated playback singer. However, as gossip swirls that he is exploiting her position, his addiction resurfaces with a vengeance. Gayathri stands by him, offering support, and the two share a night together. She moves in with him despite her mother’s objections, and for a while, their life seems to be moving in the right direction.

Yet the addiction tightens its grip, turning Raghava volatile and aggressive. Gayathri redoubles her efforts to help him recover, even at the cost of her own singing career. When Sravan gently nudges them back toward the shared dream of Gayathri’s rising stardom, Raghava urges her to concentrate on her work. During a high-profile stage show, a journalist questions whether he is using Gayathri for money and pleasure, prompting Raghava to lash out and drink again. He lands in jail, and Gayathri comes to post his bail.

From the confines of his momentary downfall, Raghava sees the toll he has taken on Gayathri. He overhears Gayathri telling Sravan that she plans to give up her career because he means more to her than the fame they chase. He realizes he has become a burden and believes stepping away is the only way to protect her. The next morning, he bids her goodbye and promises to change, then drives to a bridge and jumps, choosing death over destroying her future.

Gayathri is left devastated but chooses to persevere. Vivek urges her to stay the course, reminding her that Raghav wanted her to succeed and had taken his own life to avoid being an obstacle. She agrees to carry on with her singing career, honoring his memory. Four years pass, and Gayathri is shown thriving with her own son—who is revealed to be Raghav’s son as well—an echo of what might have been and a testament to resilience in the face of tragedy.
