Murder 2

The film opens with a prostitute attempting to entice a man dressed in a woman's outfit; after a seductive dance, the man kills her. Her body is dumped at a well crowded with other dead prostitutes. The event sets the chilling mood and introduces the killer.

Arjun Vishnu Bhaagwat, a former Goa Police officer now living alone, encounters Priya at a church. He donates to orphans and remains an atheist; Priya begins to harbour feelings for him. He kisses her initially without her consent, but she later gives in and they go to her home.

Reports of missing prostitutes trigger a police investigation in Goa. The search widens to include Jyothi, the Caucasian daughter of a Russian diplomat, whose abduction garners high-profile attention. Arjun is hired by Sameer to locate the missing girls and identify their abductor for a fee.

Arjun negotiates with Sameer, a pimp, who tasks him with finding the missing call-girls and catching their kidnapper for Rs 5 Lakhs. Arjun's money-hungry side surfaces as he accepts the assignment, motivated by the fee as much as by curiosity.

To trap the killer, Sameer arranges for Reshma, a poor college girl, to be used as bait. Reshma is abducted by Dheeraj Pandey, a psychopathic murderer who tortures and kills the missing prostitutes.

Reshma disappears during the sting operation, and Arjun loses contact with her. He becomes determined to locate her, fearing she could join the growing list of missing persons.

Dheeraj murders Reshma and dumps her into the same well used earlier for victims. Remarkably, Reshma regains consciousness and crawls out of the well the next morning, leaving Arjun guilt-ridden and more determined to catch the killer.

Arjun locates Dheeraj's number and corners him on the streets to extract a confession. The police arrest both Arjun and Dheeraj during this attempt, complicating the case.

A transvestite political leader, Nirmala Pandit, intervenes and gets Dheeraj released from custody. A staff psychiatrist questions him, and Dheeraj confesses that he cut off his own penis to become a transvestite, indicating his hatred for women and his motive for killing.

Reshma, hiding in a temple, is discovered after Nirmala and Dheeraj arrive. The priest reveals Reshma's location before Dheeraj kills the priest and Nirmala; Dheeraj then finds Reshma and murders her, as Arjun and the cops arrive too late.

Dheeraj targets Priya for a photo shoot, attempting to torture her. Arjun intervenes and fights Dheeraj as police close in; Dheeraj plays the torture tape of Reshma to torment Arjun. Overcome by anger and guilt, Arjun stabs Dheeraj, but Inspector Sadaa shoots Dheeraj to end his reign.

In the aftermath, Arjun visits a church with Priya, signaling a possible faith and a renewed love. The encounter implies that he has learned to value faith, humanity, and love over money and power.
