The original TV pilot follows an amnesiac woman in Los Angeles, determined to uncover the secrets of her past with the help of an aspiring actress. Shot in early 1999, it never aired and survived only as bootleg copies. Additional photography in late 2000 let the material be reworked into the 2001 feature. Its footage helped shape the 2001 feature.
