Drake schemes to throw a party on the roof of Josh's workplace, the Premiere Theater, hoping to impress his friends. Josh’s boss, Helen, agrees only if Drake dresses as Santa at the mall. The plan mixes ambition with risk as Christmas draws near.

While avoiding a pursuer, Drake accidentally makes an unbreakable promise to Mary Alice to give her family the best Christmas ever. The promise creates a mounting obligation that drags him deeper into trouble. The weight of her wish becomes the central goal he feels compelled to fulfill.
