Melody, a music teacher at a centre for children with cancer, is asked by thirty of her pupils to compose a piece that incorporates the calls of thirty different birds for an autumn‑time celebration. She returns to her native village to record the birdsong, aided by the mute caretaker Mango. After capturing only twenty birds, Mango reveals that the village’s aging singer is the only one who knows where the remaining birds are, but he has been driven out by local bird hunters. Determined, Melody sets out to locate the singer and recover the missing birds, hoping to complete the children’s musical tribute.
