Mei is eating a caramel on a windy day when a whirlwind chases her, revealing itself as a baby cat bus. She shares a caramel, and they become friends. That night the cat bus returns, letting her ride inside as it soars into the sky toward a midnight forest haunted by ghosts, where other cat buses of various sizes have gathered.
