All of Bomø’s residents gather for the long‑awaited opening of the bridge that finally links the island to the mainland after 56 years. The parish council chairman leads the ceremony with the minister cutting the ribbon, yet the county governor is absent because he’s in a financial dispute with the ferrymen, brothers Søren and Peter Severinsen.
