In a Hollywood bar, Mimi reconnects with his longtime mafioso friend Jolly Rizzo. Jolly agrees to help and stays practical about the risks. Mimi outlines a bold kidnapping of Chucky Tripoli to generate ransom cash for his takeover.

Chucky Tripoli is abducted in a calculated move to pressure the West Coast mafia. Mimi sends proof—Tripoli's finger in a jewelry box— to Marco Tripoli and his wife Fanny. The family and the West Coast mob rally in response to the ransom demand.

Mimi attends Chucky's daughter's wedding and gives a toast in the name of Sicily. The gesture earns him wary respect from Chucky, who allows him to join the West Coast mafia circle. The scene marks Mimi's formal integration into the power structure.

During the wedding celebrations, Mimi meets Liz and begins a romantic relationship. The alliance adds a personal stake to his West Coast ambitions. Liz's presence foreshadows the complications to come.

The younger generation of pimp Superspook asserts his power over the city and challenges the old guard. Jolly warns Mimi that Superspook is a far bigger obstacle than the traditional bookmakers. Mimi clings to his brutal motto, ready to move quickly.

Back in Sicily, The Padrone is unhappy with Chucky’s handling and wants the Sons of Sicily Defense League shaken. He directs Bones to pass assassination targets to Chucky, showing that direct force may replace diplomacy. This move escalates the violence on the West Coast.

Mimi and Jolly meet with Chucky over lunch and learn the target is Georgios Angelopolis. Mimi initially declines, arguing Sicilians deserve better than more killings, but Chucky urges action and the hit is approved. The moment demonstrates how risk has entered their alliance.
