Mass Effect: Paragon Lost

After a brutal Blood Pack assault and a shuttle crash, only Delta Squad survives. Captain Toni is incapacitated early, forcing Lieutenant James Vega to step up as the new squad leader. The tight-knit team—Kamille, Nicky, Milque, Essex, and Mason—grind forward to hold their ground against Archuk.

Vega leads a counterattack that brings Archuk's momentum to a halt and captures Archuk's second-in-command, Brood. Admiral Hackett orders Delta Squad to defend Fehl Prime against future incursions. The colony steels itself for a longer fight.

By 2185, Fehl Prime strengthens its defenses with a heavy anti-ship cannon and kinetic barriers. Delta Squad helps install the weapons and stumbles upon an enigmatic alien device emitting a signal. Treeya reports the device to Dr. Liara T'Soni, who suspects a possible link to Reaper tech.

A Collector ship descends and releases Seeker Swarms that cripple the colony and even touch Captain Toni. The squad's attempt to disable the colony cannon fails as the weapon is destroyed. They retreat to the underground labs, where chaos erupts across Fehl Prime.

In the labs, Delta Squad discovers Messner is a Cerberus double agent and seeks access to the facility. They also find Brood kept in a tank as a test subject and uncover a potential antidote to the Seeker Swarm's paralysis. The squad braces for a last stand as drones close in.

A Praetorian tears open the lab doors and rips Kamille away; Mason dies in a rescue attempt. Delta Squad retreats with Brood aboard a hidden ship, while the Praetorian returns to finish them off. The squad barely escapes with their lives and a captive ally.

Brood leads Delta Squad toward the hidden ship, but Nicky is killed in the pursuit. Vega orders a bold frontal assault on the Collector ship and boards it to disrupt their plans. Messner murders Brood, leaving Delta Squad captured once again.

In orbit, the Collector ship scorches Fehl Prime as Messner explains his scheme to the Collectors. Vega, Essex, and Milque are sealed in pods but manage to break free using the Seeker Swarm antidote bottled earlier. They pursue Messner and Treeya, while Milque secures a means of escape.

Messner reveals a Prothean archive embedded in the Collector vessel and forces Treeya to access it. Treeya witnesses the Protheans' final stand against the Reapers and their transformation into the Collectors. She steals Messner's bracelet and escapes in a containment pod.

Vega and Essex press into the Collectors' ship, with Essex fighting bravely as a guardian. Essex is fatally impaled but uses his biotics to push Vega toward the escape path. Messner fires on Vega, who disarms him and stabs him, ending the threat as the ship explodes around them.

Vega learns that Treeya holds the essential intel and must decide between evacuating Fehl Prime's remaining colonists or saving Treeya and the data. He chooses Treeya, prioritizing the mission over immediate evacuation. The Collector ship crashes into Fehl Prime's surface and detonates, killing Captain Toni and many colonists, leaving Vega, Milque, and Treeya as the lone survivors.

Back on the Citadel, Vega is commended by Captain Anderson and Admiral Hackett for preserving crucial intel. They reveal that Commander Shepard is alive and offer Vega a petition to join the N7 program, signaling a new path forward. The team contemplates a larger battle beyond Fehl Prime.

Some time later, the trio returns to Fehl Prime to mourn the fallen. Vega experiences a breakdown upon discovering April's doll and leaves April's badge and the doll at a memorial. Survivors pay tribute to those lost, carrying their memories into the future.

Vega vows to keep fighting, leading a squad into future battles while carrying the memories of April, Toni, and the colonists with him into every engagement. The resolve mirrors the cost of their victory and the long road ahead.
