Lawsonomy champions economic reform and communal living, aiming to transform followers into a "New Species" benefiting humanity. Merle, a lifelong believer, joined the movement as a teenager. Now, reunited with his high school sweetheart Betty Kasch after more than sixty years, Merle's unwavering commitment to preserving Lawson’s legacy – including artifacts stored in a Wisconsin barn – threatens their rekindled relationship and Betty’s desire for him to join her in Florida.
