The documentary investigates Munchausen’s Syndrome by Proxy, a disorder where a mother secretly harms her child to attract sympathy and medical attention. Filmed over three years on two continents, it scrutinizes the scientific research behind the diagnosis, questions its validity, and follows three families confronting the charge and its tragic consequences.
