Raja Ram [Sharwanand] is introduced as a successful track-runner whose life is anchored by his family: his mother Parvathi [Pavitra Lokesh], a dedicated music teacher who saves every possible rupee to fund his education, and his daughter Parvathi [Punarnavi Bhupalam], who works in FM Radio and brings a brighter spark to his world. In his youth, Ram trains with single-minded focus, dreaming of a gold medal at the national level. His mother, a tireless supporter, wants nothing more than to see him win and uses her earnings to keep that dream alive. It’s in this crucible of ambition and care that he crosses paths with Nazeera Khanum [Nithya Menen], a mysterious young woman who always keeps her face veiled behind a niqab. Nazeera moves through Ram’s world with a quiet presence, and she is seldom alone, her friend Jyoti [Pavani Gangireddy] always by her side. Nazeera joins Parvathi’s music class and introduces herself as Khanum, a name that will soon weave itself into Ram’s life in unexpected ways.

As Ram earns praise at the state athletics championship, a fan asks for his autograph and reveals a small, revealing detail: it was Nazeera who requested it. This moment marks the beginning of a complicated bond between them. Nazeera, who sees something in Ram beyond the race, helps him in a practical way—she funds his shoes when he cannot afford them, and she takes his medals in return, a sign of a partnership built on mutual sacrifice and trust. Ram’s journey to the national championships in Delhi is accompanied by this growing connection, even as he continues to focus on his race.

On a train journey to Delhi, fate steps in when Nazeera’s veil momentarily lifts, and Ram finally sees her true face. He wins the national medal, and back home, Parvathi prepares badam kheer to celebrate, while Nazeera’s presence becomes more intimate. A pivotal moment arrives when Ram’s mother calls Nazeera by her name, reaffirming that Parvathi knows about the unique bond they share. The revelation deepens: Nazeera is the one who could provide what Ram needs, and the two begin to understand the depth of their connection. Yet tragedy strikes when Parvathi dies, leaving Ram to face the loss and the ensuing void. Nazeera tries to reach Ram, but circumstances pull them apart, and she heads to Malaysia.

From this point, Ram learns that Nazeera had left him with more than memories—the two share a complicated arc that lingers in his heart. He receives only a letter from her after her departure, and the story seems to drift toward a distance that cannot quite erase memory.

Years later, Nazeera’s present life unfolds in Malaysia, where she runs her father’s company and raises a daughter who carries a swirl of stories and the shadow of Ram in her own life. Nazeera narrates her past to Mehak [Tejaswi Madivada], her daughter’s friend who challenges her with questions about Ram. Mehak’s presence injects fresh energy into the tale as Nazeera revisits the turbulent choices of youth. In Malaysia, Nazeera unveils a painful truth: her father survives an injury only to confront the consequences of a life lived between duty and desire. Unable to reconcile their love completely, her father’s actions push Nazeera toward a painful decision, culminating in a moment where he shoots himself, a tragedy that seals the distance between the two lovers.

Nazeera grieves and, in a bid to honor her father’s memory, makes a difficult choice: she writes to Ram that she is married and steps away from their old life. She remains in Malaysia, raising Mehak and an abandoned child she later encounters, guiding them with quiet resolve. Mehak, growing up with stories of Ram, challenges Nazeera to face the truth of their past while holding onto the belief that Ram has not forgotten her. Together they decide to travel to India, where Ram’s world still holds a place for Nazeera.

Back in the country, Ram is not far from the life they once shared. He and Mehak travel to Ram’s home, where he is preparing for a wedding. In a small, telling moment, Ram loses his handkerchief—an item with a tremor of memory tied to Nazeera. Mehak passes the heirloom back to Ram, prompting him to recount the shared history. Soon, the story leans toward a reunion, and Nazeera, having learned from Mehak and the events at the airport, makes her way to the airport with a calm determination.

At the airport, Nazeera encounters Jyoti again and learns a tough truth about the past: there had been another man involved, and Ram’s life may have included a different chapter than she imagined. Jyoti explains that Ram has raised Parvathi but is not her father, and that Ram is not married—he has only Nazeera in his heart. This revelation shakes Nazeera, but Ram arrives with an unspoken plea in his eyes. He pushes through the crowd, ignoring the obstacles in his path, and finally reaches her.

In the tense, emotional moment that follows, Ram and Nazeera reunite. The film closes on a hopeful note, affirming that their love endured the long years and the misunderstandings that stood in the way.
