While on a cruise, the near‑sighted Mr. Magoo and his friend Waldo board an ocean liner. Mistaking the ship’s swimming pool for open water, Magoo tumbles in and thinks he has fallen overboard. He tries to rescue a swimmer, prompting the captain to dive in and pull him to safety. Grateful and chatty, Magoo thanks the captain, promises to recount the deed, and heads back toward the pool.
