Gaurav Mehra is an obedient man who lives in London and is preparing for his wedding to Vandana, a dominating and finicky woman. His friend Kunal arrives for the wedding and hosts a bachelor party that spirals out of control, ending with a drunken night in which a sloshed Gaurav wakes up beside a girl, Pooja. Unable to face the fallout, he asks her to leave, but cannot find her clothes, and she ends up wearing a shirt given to him by his would-be mother-in-law for the engagement. He realises the mistake only after she is gone and begins a search to locate her.

Through the hazy memories, Pooja delivers blunt life lessons that blend with the night’s recollections. Gaurav finds himself drawn to her free-spirited nature, but he never fully admits his feelings and ends up marrying Vandana. Four years pass, and he is divorced, blaming his elder sister Gaurav’s elder sister for the turmoil in his life. To escape the strain, Kunal suggests a vacation in Mauritius. He lies to his sisters about a business trip and travels with his friends to the island, hoping for a reset.

On the island, fate brings Gaurav and Pooja together again, though now she is engaged to Vinayak SengGupta Vinayak SengGupta. They spend more time together, and Pooja makes it clear she is moving toward her own future while acknowledging the pull between them. She tells him about the engagement and urges him to forget her. He returns home and clashes with his sisters when he finds the wedding card; in a moment of revenge, Vandana’s makeup is ruined as he tries to reach Pooja. The two meet after the function, share a whiskey, and end up spending the night together for the second time, even as they end up spoiling Pooja’s father’s pots in the front lawn.

She asks him to leave and forget her. Later, at a dhaba with Kunal, Gaurav notices that the baraat has turned back, signaling that Pooja has broken the alliance. Realizing what has happened, Gaurav resolves to reunite with her.
