Lovers Lane

On Valentine's Day at Lovers' Lane, Dee-Dee and Jimmy are attacked by Ray Hennessey, who wields a steel hook. They escape their car and discover Harriet and Ward murdered in the car next door. Psychiatrist Jack Grefe arrives with Sheriff Tom Anderson, Harriet's husband, and it’s revealed Ray was one of Jack's patients and has become 'The Hook' after the attack.

Ray is captured by authorities and incarcerated in a state institution for the criminally insane, earning the nickname 'The Hook' from his weapon. Dr. Jack Grefe, the psychiatrist who treated him, is connected to the case, and Sheriff Tom Anderson remains involved. This event sets up the killer's backstory before the 13-year jump.

Thirteen years later, Jack is called to Chloe's high school about her troubling actions. Penny Lamson, Ward's widow and Michael's mother, serves as the principal and has Michael as a student. Chloe is suspended and Michael is grounded, while The Hook retrieves his weapon and escapes the mental institution.

Michael sneaks out to join his friends—Chloe, Mandy, Bradley, Janelle, Doug, Cathy, and Tim—at the bowling alley. Deputy David Schwick is assigned to keep Chloe and Mandy safe, under Sheriff Tom's supervision. The group plans to head toward Lovers' Lane later that night.

Chloe, trying to provoke Michael, leaves with Bradley for Lovers' Lane. Along the way, she stops at a town store; the owner is murdered as she departs, and Deputy David enters the shop and is killed. The night grows more dangerous as danger closes in.

Penny discovers Michael is missing from his bedroom and alerts Sheriff Tom. The search for the missing teens ramps up as the group nears Lovers' Lane and the threat of The Hook intensifies.

At Lovers' Lane the group discovers Bradley's car and learns that both Bradley and Chloe have been murdered. The Hook then stabs Tim, forcing the remaining survivors to flee in their car amid escalating chaos.

Mandy and Michael escape to a nearby farmhouse after the ambush, arming themselves with a gun. They find Janelle tending Doug's broken leg and reunite with the others as they brace for a long night of danger.

Inside the barn, Janelle hears noises and the Hook smashes through a window. Janelle barricades herself in a room, but the killer breaches it and slaughters her, then kills Doug as the terror continues.

Michael and Mandy drive the owners' car and end up accidentally hitting Cathy. They return inside the house, where the Hook attacks; they lock themselves in the kitchen, turn on the gas, and escape through a window. The house explodes as the Hook opens the door and a match is struck.

Sheriff Tom and Penny arrive at Jack's house and discover a shrine devoted to Mandy. They rush to Lovers Lane to join the others and fight the growing threat.

Michael and Mandy take the owners' car and head toward town. En route, they find Chloe still alive, who urges them to return to Lovers' Lane as Bradley has also survived.

When they reach the car, Mandy leaves Michael and Chloe inside, only to confront the grim truth of Bradley's fate. Inside the car, Chloe attacks Michael with her own hook, admitting she killed Janelle and Doug; Michael fights back and escapes. Chloe is ultimately slaughtered by The Hook.

Mandy is forced into a car by Jack, Harriet's killer who survived the farmhouse explosion. Michael saves Mandy; Tom and Penny arrive and shoot Jack, who is killed by Mandy with his own hook.

The next day at Lovers' Lane, Mandy and Michael are medically checked before they leave. The police car they occupy is revealed to be driven by Ray, confirming that he is The Hook and has been pulling the strings all along.
