Louis Theroux visits the Phelps family, the core of the controversial Westboro Baptist Church, to explore their extreme anti‑homosexual stance. He witnesses their routine protests at the funerals of American soldiers and learns they view every tragedy—from natural disasters to personal loss—as divine punishment for homosexuality, believing the world’s suffering is a direct result of sinful behavior.
