Jo Jo is an Edinburgh tough‑guy with a sharp mind and disregard for the law. In the gritty 1980s he’s seen on his estate as a hero who outwits police while looking after his family. He is drawn to Lorraine, a woman obsessed with Marilyn Monroe, while a figure from his past pushes him toward violent crime and heroin, leaving his identity in doubt.
