After her eleven‑year‑old daughter Cathy suffers a freak accident, Danielle falls into a catatonic state. She daily hears Cathy's voice telling her the disappearance was no accident. Supernatural events alert Roger and Fanny, caretaker, to a presence in the house. One night the presence torments them with a devilish laugh that sounds like the girl.
