Devi Lavanya Tripathi works as a sharp cashier in a busy bank, where her quick thinking and calm demeanour stand out. At the same desk, Naveen [Naveen Chandra] is the help-desk staffer who admires her, driven by a mix of affection and a desire to rise in life. He becomes entangled in a dangerous plan when he agrees to a gang’s scheme to siphon data from unclaimed accounts—data that only the bank’s manager would normally have access to, apart from Devi herself. As the plan starts to unfold, Naveen uses his access to hand crucial information to the gang, hoping it will pave his path to wealth. What begins as a calculated risk quickly spirals into a web of manipulation and betrayal.

The gang’s ringleader, Mahesh [Ajay], uses the stolen data to craft a scheme that pretends to claim the unclaimed accounts on behalf of supposed heirs. Their method is audacious: they present themselves as legal heirs—Ankallamma and Umadevi—and attempt to extract the full sums. The bank’s oversight is limited, and the timing seems perfect as cheques are issued and the path to wealth appears clear. But the plot thickens when the bank manager, Somayajulu [Jayaprakash Reddy], uncovers shocking truths behind the claims. In a dramatic reveal, he explains that Ankallamma is a goddess and the unclaimed funds tied to a temple trust, while Umadevi is a wealthy, childless widow whose apparent tragedy is entwined with a past love that ended in tragedy. The consequences of these disclosures are swift and severe: the would-be con artists are caught red-handed, and the ruse collapses under the weight of truth.

Yet the danger doesn’t end there. It becomes clear that Naveen and Somayajulu themselves have been complicit in a broader conspiracy to steal the entire amount. After a tense sequence of events, Somayajulu uses his authority to seize Devi’s data under the pretense of addressing negligence, publicly humiliating her in a display of power. The betrayal cuts deep, and Naveen begins to see the peril in chasing money when it entangles innocent people. He resolves to correct his course and teach the culprits a hard lesson, even as a plan starts to form to outsmart them.

In a later twist, Somayajulu’s home becomes the stage for a supernatural-like encounter. Ankallamma appears, demanding her due, and the moment terrifies the bank manager into promising repayment. Soon after, Umadevi arrives at Naveen’s residence—where Devi’s body is momentarily controlled by her—using a commanding, booming voice that shakes the room. Naveen, battered by fear and resolve, slices through the chaos by narrating the full backstory and the scam to Umadevi, managing a narrow escape. The two vengeful figures—Ankallamma and Umadevi—end up possessing Devi as the plan warps deeper into manipulation, while Mahesh feeds Devi a story of himself as a journalist trying to expose corruption, a lie that sustains the deception.

As the plot thickens, Devi is led to believe the con is legitimate, and she collaborates with Mahesh to reclaim the stolen funds. The supposed journalist’s mission serves as a cover, and Devi plays her part—posing as Ankallamma and Umadevi again—while Mahesh aims to grab the entire amount once more with her help. Suspicion grows for Naveen, who tracks Devi and learns the truth behind the manipulations. He crafts a plan to outmaneuver the thieves and recover the money.

The bank becomes the proving ground for this showdown. In a sequence marked by a blend of humor and tension, Naveen stages a careful rescue that reveals the true nature of Mahesh and Somayajulu before Devi. The criminals attempt to escape, but a police confrontation ends with the deaths of Somayajulu and Mahesh. With the immediate danger removed and the scheme brought to light, Devi confronts the moral weight of her choices—and, in a quiet, hopeful moment, accepts Naveen’s proposal of marriage, looking toward a future free from the shadows of greed.
