Shanaya needs to immerse herself in Gujarati family life to prepare for a movie role where she plays a middle-class Gujarati wife. Her director Mac Mundra suggests this immersion to make her performance authentic. When she travels to Kuala Lumpur for the Valentine's contest, she decides to stay with Patel's family to experience real Gujarati household dynamics.
