Götz runs a record shop in Berlin’s Kreuzberg district and falls for Aylin, who is already engaged to Turkish doctor Tarkan. As their romance deepens, both families—Aylin’s Turkish parents and Götz’s mother Helena—strongly oppose the union. Determined, Götz converts to Islam and seeks a proper Turkish arrangement for Aylin. After a series of complications and twists, the couple ultimately overcomes the obstacles and marries.
