King Solomon’s Mines

In 1897, Elizabeth Curtis persuades seasoned safari guide Allan Quatermain to search for her missing husband, who vanished in the unexplored African interior while pursuing the fabled King Solomon’s Mines. She brings a map his husband followed, hoping Allan can lead the expedition. Allan, initially wary of having a woman along, agrees to the perilous journey as the team forms.

Elizabeth and her brother John Goode join Allan's expedition. The long journey tests their endurance as the group treks through hostile terrain. During the voyage, Allan's initial disdain for women softens, and a quiet attraction to Elizabeth begins to emerge.

The party meets Van Brun, a lone white man living with a local tribe, who claims to have met Elizabeth's husband. Seeing risk in letting him depart, they detain him and try to extract information. The encounter sets a tone of danger and mistrust on the trek.

He leaves with supporters to raise a rebellion, while Allan, Elizabeth, and John press on to meet Twala at his kraal. The tension between loyalty, power, and prophecy intensifies.
