Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan

Keshavan alias Keshu, [Dileep], a driving instructor, is the eldest in a large family and has shouldered the burdens of everyone after his father’s death, working tirelessly with little rest to keep the family afloat. His mother grows distant, disowning him as she insists he perform his father’s last rites by immersing the ashes at Rameswaram, a demand that sets the emotional tone for the story. The whole clan, including Keshu’s cunning brothers-in-law, Kalabhavan Shajon as Rajendran, Kottayam Nazeer as Gopi, and Jaffer Idukki as Vijayan Pillai, hatches a plan to make that pilgrimage together, disguising it as a family trip to bid farewell to their father.

Keshu’s daughter Usha, Vaishnavi Venugopal in the cast, arranges a tourist bus with her boyfriend Vivek, Ganapathi S Poduval, and the family sets off with smiles that mask the brewing tension. A sudden twist jolts the journey: Keshu learns that a lottery ticket he had bought on impulse has won a jaw-dropping prize of ₹12 crore, turning his life on its head. This windfall offers a way out from the clutches of his scheming relatives, and Keshu starts plotting to escape with his wife Rathnamma, Urvashi, and their kids—without tipping off the others.

As the escape plan forms, Keshu and Rathnamma try to convince the children to abandon the planned rites and the hotel stay, but Usha refuses to budge, reaching out to Vivek for help. The tension rises when Vivek learns the truth about the money, and Keshu, faced with pressure from his kin, is drawn deeper into the web of loyalties and lies that bind the family. On the night of the supposed escape, Keshu urges Rathnamma to explain why they’re leaving, and Usha’s shock echoes through the car. Meanwhile, Rajendran and Vijayan Pillai, with the help of Gopi, press to intervene and keep the lost lottery at the center of the family crisis.

The pursuit becomes chaotic as Keshu’s brothers-in-law attempt to wrest control of the tickets, even crafting paper rockets and staging dramatic scenes in the hotel to uncover the whereabouts of the prize. A photograph of Keshu with his ex-girlfriend Leela, Anusree Nair, materializes from the past and fuels suspicions of hidden motives. Rathnamma’s fear erupts into anger, and she accuses Keshu of concealing the ticket for Leela, threatening harm if the truth remains unrevealed. The tensions spill into the present as the family searches, and Umesh, Naslen, becomes a focal point through a trail of letters and miscommunications.

When the dust finally settles, Ganapathi, Hareesh Perumanna in the cast, reveals that his neighbour and ex-goon Biju may have stolen and hidden the lottery ticket, complicating an already fraught situation. Keshu’s brothers-in-law race to locate the document, while Rathnamma escapes a dangerous confrontation and accompanies Keshu to find the truth about the prize. A dramatic confrontation leads to a stabbing accident involving Biju, and Keshu is arrested, though released on bail after 14 days when Biju survives and confirms that the incident was an accident.

Returning home, Keshu faces a household in ruin: Usha laments that Rathnamma has lost her voice to the shock, and Keshu’s strained marriage is laid bare. Rathnamma’s voice returns only after Keshu apologizes, and the two of them begin to reconcile, even asKeshu’s sisters and brothers-in-law circle the property like vultures. The family’s dynamic shifts as Keshu insists that his mother will decide the division of assets, and he rejects the temptation to be dragged back into the old patterns. The threat from the in-laws persists as they discover Keshu had taken a loan to cover some debts, deepening the financial mess.

In a bid to settle old scores and clear debts, Keshu’s associate George reaches out with a warning that Biju’s kin are coming for revenge. Keshu and Rathnamma decide to return to Rameswaram to perform the final rites, and Keshu seeks Ganapathi’s help to secure funds needed for the journey and the family’s obligations. Keshu pledges to repay the debts even if it means selling Usha’s jewelry, a decision that weighs heavily on Rathnamma, who fears the worst for their future.

On the train toward Rameswaram, Ganapathi calls with a plea for money, and Keshu asks him to postpone the request by promising to settle their debts after reordering priorities. Rathnamma grabs the phone, insisting that only God knows the truth, and she vows to confront Leela if she ever calls again. The couple’s shared resolve is tested, but Keshu’s faith in doing right remains a guiding light.

At the sacred pond in Rameswaram, Keshu finally retrieves the ticket, realizing the ashes container he placed the ticket under had protected it from loss. The moment is a relief, and Rathnamma’s voice returns as she asks a piercing question about Leela, testing Keshu’s moral compass and his willingness to live with the consequences of his choices. The journey home is tense; passengers witness Rathnamma’s rousing determination to uncover the truth, and Keshu’s insistence that goodness should guide every decision surfaces once more.

The closing line underscores the film’s themes: although the lottery issue appears resolved, Keshu’s life remains complicated by Leela’s unresolved presence, leaving the audience with a sense that some mysteries will persist long after the money is counted. Throughout, the performances weave a tapestry of family duty, loyalty, and the costs of chasing fortune, with each character—Keshu, his wife Rathnamma, their daughter Usha, Leela, Vivek, and the wider kin—testing the limits of forgiveness, trust, and the truly meaning of home.
