Ravindra, a humble middle-class attendant, works in a company headed by Shakuntala Shetty. When Gowri Shetty, Shakuntala’s daughter, and Ravindra fall in love, their romance blossoms against family expectations. But trouble arrives when Ravindra is entangled in a drug-case raid and, in a shocking turn, unknowingly kills SI Govindaraju before slipping away. On the run, Ravindra confides in Gowri about the incident, and Gowri stands by him, offering both emotional support and practical help, even handing over money and accompanying him through a perilous journey.

Meanwhile, ACP S. Purandar begins to untangle a web of deception and discovers that the so-called “deceased” Govindaraju is actually a goon named Coffee Appaiah. Purandar tracks Appaiah and uncovers that he had fake-dead himself at the behest of DCP Suryakanth and Shakuntala Shetty to trap Ravindra, prompted by Shakuntala’s knowledge of the forbidden relationship. Ravindra and Gowri flee from city to city, chased by two dirty cops, Narayanaswamy and Chandrashekhar, who work for Suryakanth after they witness Govindaraju’s murder.

Purandar’s investigation gradually reveals a massive conspiracy: Suryakanth, Govindaraju, Narayanaswamy, and Chandrashekhar orchestrated a drug raid in Mangalore, injecting the city with illegal supply and then selling the drugs to a third party for ₹40 crore, with the money concealed in a safe place. When Govindaraju taunts Suryakanth while intoxicated, Suryakanth overhears the comments, fears exposure, and Govindaraju escapes before the truth can surface. With the money missing, Suryakanth orders the capture of Govindaraju, pushing Purandar to intervene as Ravindra and Gowri’s lives hang in the balance.

In a tense confrontation, Purandar drags Ravindra down and shoots him, while Gowri survives thanks to a written statement from Suryakanth that clears her. Grief-stricken, Gowri returns home, believing Ravindra is dead. The truth finally comes to light: Purandar had faked Ravindra’s death and sent him to Mumbai after Ravindra revealed Shakuntala’s role in framing him and Suryakanth’s plan to kill him and Gowri for witnessing Govindaraju’s murder. In Mumbai, Ravindra takes up work as a bar supplier and, from a distance, reaches out to Gowri to reveal that he is alive. The final twist reveals that the money hidden by Suryakanth was actually stolen by a con artist, Haav Rani, who now enjoys a lavish life in Mumbai. This revelation recontextualizes the entire pursuit and leaves Gowri and Ravindra to reckon with their future amid the fallout of corruption and deceit.
