Kannodu Kanbathellam

Seetharam is a well-respected businessman who routinely helps people in need, earning goodwill in Chennai. He shares his life with his loyal PA Muthuswamy and keeps a short fuse beneath his composed exterior. His compassionate nature sets the foundation for the story's romance when he later meets Kalyani.

During a series of meetings, Kalyani sees Seetharam's true nature and falls in love with him. Seetharam also begins to open up, sensing a genuine connection. The budding romance becomes the central thread of the plot.

Akhila, paired with Akash, engineers a rift by posing as Seetharam's fiancée to push Akash aside just before his proposal. Her ploy sows doubt in Kalyani and makes her question Seetharam. The scheming triggers the first major conflict between the lovers.

Believing Akhila's words, Kalyani distances herself from Seetharam. Seetharam feels betrayed and enraged by what he perceives as a personal betrayal. The emotional wound pushes him toward vengeance against Akash and Akhila.

In his anger, Seetharam tries to sabotage Akash and Akhila's relationship and prevent their love match from succeeding. He swears to ruin their plans, though his efforts prove ineffective. The mounting tension drives the plot toward a dramatic confrontation.

To make Akhila pay for deceiving him, Seetharam hires goons to eliminate Akash and Akhila. The plan seems to go through at first, but the hidden truth of his involvement remains hidden from the couple. This dark turn marks the moment before his eventual change of heart.

In a turn of conscience, Seetharam saves Akash and Akhila from the very goons he hired, revealing the incident that triggered his transformation. He apologizes to the couple and explains how Kalyani's departure fed his anger and led to his actions. The act of rescue begins repairing their broken trust.

Seetharam meets Kalyani at a shopping mall and learns she is married to a blind man, Rajasheker. She recounts how their breakup plunged her into crippling depression until her husband became her beacon of light. Akash and Akhila then explain what actually happened that day, helping Kalyani realize she misunderstood Seetharam.

Kalyani's husband praises her and expresses contentment with his life, emphasizing the value of their love. He tells Seetharam that God gave him a wonderful wife, offering Seetharam a hopeful perspective on his own future. The family invites Seetharam to their home, deepening his emotional conflict about moving on or staying connected.

Akash and Akhila suggest that Seetharam find a new marriage alliance, and he agrees to consider it. He then reveals that the plan is only a facade to test his own feelings, confessing that he cannot forget Kalyani. He leaves them with a final, bittersweet statement.

In the alternate climax, Seetharam acts to save Akash and Akhila from the goons, exposing the transformation in his heart. He explains to them the incident that caused his metamorphosis, underscoring a new path toward forgiveness. The danger brings him face-to-face with the consequences of his earlier actions.

At the airport, Seetharam meets Kalyani accompanied by her blind brother. She explains that Akash and Akhila apologized and revealed the truth behind the earlier incident. Her brother asks Seetharam to accept his sister, and Seetharam happily agrees, completing their union.
