The film opens with a local festival in 1968. One man cuts an electric post, another pushes it over, and the wire rips through the crowd. The disaster marks the origin of the ghosts that haunt the village.

In 2019, Kamini is kidnapped and brought to Naina. Naina orders his henchmen to kill the kidnappers so they cannot tell anyone about it.

Shwetha instructs Kiran and his friends to kidnap Kamini from the henchmen and demand a large ransom. The plan aims to leverage Kamini's knowledge to locate Maanga Mani and the treasure.

Kamini tells the group about Maanga Mani, who was treating her and spoke of going on a treasure hunt for gold. This hints at a larger mythic backstory connected to the treasure.

Shwetha finds Maanga Mani's location by entering his number on Truecaller. They travel to the location Kolaatipuram, following the trail to the treasure.

Entering Kolaatipuram, the group discovers the villagers are ghosts—the dead from 1968. The atmosphere traps them, and their escape routes repeatedly loop back to the festival ground. The chilling revelation ties the current events to the past tragedy.

Kamini mentions that Sankar was taken by the village ghost Mathamma, who asks, 'Am I beautiful?' This strange prompt foreshadows the tests they must pass. Shwetha directs them to Mathamma to obtain the gold.

Shwetha sends them to Mathamma and instructs them to answer questions correctly to obtain the gold. Shwetha runs away upon seeing Mathamma, while Kiran and his friends are beaten by the ghostly guardian. The encounter reveals the mythic nature of the treasure hunt.

Mathamma recounts the 1968 tragedy: Venu, Mohini, and Sambath dig a well and uncover gold, prompting greed. The well yields more gold after cryptic messages, and the villagers realize the well may demand human flesh to continue producing treasure. The tale links the present danger to the old horrors of the village.

Aarumugam, the police officer, provides dead bodies for the well and is later confronted by Kaatteri, a creature that emerges from the well and feeds on a policeman. The monster leaves a warning on the wall: 'Do not starve the well.'

During the festival, the electric post is cut again and the wire rips through the villagers, causing many deaths. The deceased are dumped into the well, deepening the village curse. Mohini and Mathamma are pushed into the well during the chaos.

Mathamma's tale ends and Kamini behaves abnormally; Ponnambalam arrives, orders Kiran to burn Kamini, and Kiran complies. Ponnambalam then captures Mohini's ghost, escalating the peril for the group.

Kiran retrieves a bottle containing Mohini's ghost and hands it to Naina. Naina opens the bottle and is frightened by the ghostly presence, confirming the danger the group faces.

The film ends with Kiran and Shwetha in bed as he asks how she knew that Aarumugam is Naina. Shwetha retorts with the question, 'Am I beautiful?', implying a final twist about identity and the haunting past.
