Ben Hildebrand and Eric Kirby embark on an exciting parasailing adventure over Isla Sorna's crystal-clear waters. However, the journey takes a terrifying turn when the crew mysteriously disappears, leaving them in a dire predicament.

As the boat begins to crash into treacherous waters, Ben makes a desperate decision to detach the line, causing him and Eric to drift into the unknown. This act of survival sets off a chain of events that will lead them directly to the island's dangers.

Eight weeks later, renowned paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant is facing funding issues for his research on Velociraptors. In a meeting with his colleague Ellie, he shares an exciting discovery about a resonating larynx found in fossilized remains, hinting at the intelligence of these ancient creatures.

Paul and Amanda Kirby approach Grant, posing as wealthy sponsors eager to fund his research in exchange for a helicopter tour of Isla Sorna. Despite his reluctance, Grant agrees to accompany them, unaware of their hidden agenda.

During the flight, Grant realizes that the Kirbys intend to land on the island, contrary to his wishes. When he objects, he is knocked unconscious by Cooper, laying the groundwork for the group's perilous situation.

Upon waking, Grant is horrified to discover that they have indeed landed on Isla Sorna. Their arrival quickly turns chaotic as they encounter a ferocious Spinosaurus that threatens their very survival.

In a frantic attempt to escape the Spinosaurus, the group runs back to their plane but ends up in a crash landing in a dense forest. This failure to flee leads to further danger and chaos as they realize their second chance for escape has been obliterated.

After the crash, the group must contend with not only the Spinosaurus but also a terrifying Tyrannosaurus Rex. In a fierce struggle between the predators, the Spinosaurus emerges victorious, leaving the group further demoralized.

Tensions rise when Grant learns that Paul and Amanda are actually divorced parents searching for their missing son, Eric, who is lost on the island. Their desperate need for help drives them to enlist Grant, despite his lack of experience with Isla Sorna.

As they venture deeper into the island, the group discovers the lifeless body of Ben and his parachute. Their search for Eric leads them to face raptor nests, further increasing the danger as they navigate the perilous environment.

After a close call with a stampede caused by fleeing raptors, the group finds themselves separated. Udesky, one of the mercenaries, becomes another victim when the cunning raptors trap him in a secluded area.

In a fortunate turn of events, the group discovers Eric alive in an overturned supply truck. His survival provides hope as they regroup and prepare to face the relentless threats of the island.

While seeking refuge in a deserted observatory, the group's troubles intensify when Billy steals raptor eggs for personal gain. This act unwittingly leads them into a massive aviary of Pteranodons, where chaos ensues when Eric is taken by one of the flying reptiles.

After a night of peril, the group retrieves a ringing satellite phone from the Spinosaurus’s droppings, enabling them to contact someone for help. Grant utilizes his ingenuity to ignite the boat's fuel during a fierce encounter with the Spinosaurus.

As dawn approaches, the group reaches the coast but faces one last challenge with a pack of raptors. Cleverly using the replica raptor larynx, Grant buys them precious time to escape, culminating in their rescue by the Marine Corps and Navy, marking the end of their harrowing adventure.
