In 1931 Japan, Prince Tokugawa Yoshinobu holds absolute power. The city blends Meiji remnants with modern technology and Onmyōdō mysticism. Behind the glamour, dissident group Kuchinawa plots the prince’s assassination. Government execution squad Nue is dispatched, and operative Sawa Yukimura, whose family was killed by Kuchinawa’s leader, seeks revenge.
