   Tommy's Haunting Past

   Tommy Jarvis, who killed the infamous serial killer Jason Voorhees when he was just 12, finds himself tormented by his memories. After years in a mental institution due to the trauma, he is determined to rid himself of his demons once and for all.

   Escape from the Institution

   Tommy makes a bold escape from the mental hospital, accompanied by his friend Hawes. Their plan is to cremate Jason's body, believing that it will free Tommy from his haunting memories of the killer.

   In the cemetery, Tommy and Hawes succeed in exhuming Jason's casket. However, in a fit of rage, Tommy stabs the body with a steel fence post, inadvertently resurrecting Jason during a lightning storm.
