James Tont Operation T.W.O.

Tont is sent to Trinidad to recover microfilm concealed inside an enemy agent. He performs surgery to remove the microfilm and the agent's inflamed appendix, ensuring the data is in his hands. This marks the opening phase of the operation.

Tont is ordered to Las Vegas to contact CIA Agent Tristian Rider for further instructions. The mission shifts from extraction to coordinating intelligence with a key contact on the ground.

In Las Vegas, Tont meets Erik Goldsinger, a wealthy music producer. Goldsinger wins at craps using loaded dice, and Tont defeats him by secretly altering a die's spots from three to two.

Goldsinger storms off with his Oriental servant Kayo in tow, planning revenge. Kayo crushes the loaded dice in his fist, leaving Tont with powdered remnants as a humiliating trophy.

Joyce Patterson, one of Goldsinger's singers and undercover agent, seduces Tont and drugs him. She tries to assassinate him by painting him gold, but the plan fails due to incomplete coverage.

Tristian Rider discovers the golden Tont and informs him that his mission is to investigate Goldsinger. This discovery sets the stage for the broader conspiracy he will pursue.

Rider sends Tont to New York City to obtain information from Barbara Ray, CIA Agent SOS 112 who is secretly working for Goldsinger as a musical director. To avoid suspicion, she tests him by having him sing on a film clip.

Goldsinger schemes to eliminate Tont by sending him to a studio with a lowered ceiling. The attempt is foiled when CIA Agent SOS 117, a ventriloquist white mouse, rescues Tont.

Tont is dispatched back to London where his chief briefs him on the incomplete details of Operation April Fool/UNO recovered from the microfilm. The briefing brings coherence to the scattered clues.

Goldsinger is employed by Red China to use his international music company to destroy the United Nations Headquarters in New York in retaliation for China being refused entry. Tont is warned that 007 3/4 will replace him if he wastes time.

Tont is sent to pursue Goldsinger to his headquarters in Italy to uncover his plans to attack the United Nations building. He prepares for a decisive confrontation that could alter global events.

To blend in with the population, Tont is given the identity of Giacomino Tontonati and a Fiat 500 D equipped with secret weapons and devices. This covert setup enables him to move freely toward the next phase of the mission.
