Raghav Pandit, a Rohit Saraf, is an aspiring screenwriter working under pressure at Tips Films to craft a compelling romantic story. His boss emphasizes the importance of meeting deadlines, hinting that failure to do so could cost him his job. To meet this urgent deadline, Raghav claims that he is drawing inspiration from his own life, which allows him to reflect on the emotional journeys and relationships he has experienced over the past year. This narrative also serves as a backdrop to his personal experiences, blurring the line between his real life and the fictional story he’s trying to develop.

The story then takes us to Raghav’s hometown of Dehradun, where he shares a close bond with his childhood friends, Sanya and Sahir. The trio was inseparable during their school days, forming a tight-knit group that seemed unbreakable. However, as they moved into their college years, their relationships began to evolve: Sanya and Sahir, once just friends, started a romantic relationship, adding a new layer to their bond. Meanwhile, Raghav entered into a relationship with Riya Mathur, a socially conscious college student and a passionate green activist, highlighting his desire to connect with someone who shared his values.

Despite being with Riya, Raghav’s emotional focus often shifted toward his friends’ tumultuous relationship. He found himself mediating their arguments frequently, which left little emotional space for his own romantic happiness. The tension came to a head when Raghav and Riya shared a kiss, only for Sanya to call him and reveal that she was breaking up with Sahir. This revelation caused Riya to become frustrated with Raghav’s emotional unavailability, leading her to end their relationship as well, accusing him of being more committed to his friends than to her.

In an attempt to help Sanya and Sahir reconcile, Raghav visits Sanya, who reveals that her relationship with Sahir has already ended due to family pressures and unresolved differences. Sahir, feeling betrayed, returns all the gifts Sanya had given him through Raghav, including a dog they shared. Sanya, expressing her lingering feelings, also asks Raghav to bring her the dog, which he does by secretly stealing it from Sahir’s house. In a spontaneous and emotionally charged moment, Sanya kisses Raghav, creating tension as Raghav worries about how this will impact their friendship and the existing dynamics with Sahir.

Following this, Sanya calls Raghav, but he avoids her, unable to face his guilt. He contemplates telling Sahir the truth about his feelings and the kiss but hesitates, unsure of Sahir’s reaction. When Sahir invites Raghav to meet, the latter initially fears that Sahir might have discovered everything. However, Sahir confronts Raghav with the fact that he is aware of the theft of the dog, learned through CCTV footage. Sahir also explains that his family had grown attached to the dog, and he sternly advises Raghav not to visit his house again. Despite the tension, Sahir hands Raghav a ticket for a trip he had planned with Sanya, which she now invites him to join as they grow closer on the journey. During their trip, they share vulnerabilities and seek comfort in each other’s company, culminating in a spontaneous kiss.

Tragedy strikes when their group’s camp catches fire, and everyone flees, mistakenly leaving Raghav behind. Overcome with fear and loneliness, Raghav fears he might die alone, sending a voice message to Riya to express his love. However, Sanya, realizing he is left behind, returns to rescue him, resulting in an emotional embrace and her proposal to him. Raghav, harboring feelings for Sanya, accepts her proposal and kisses her, marking a new beginning for them.

After returning home, Sanya plans a special date with Raghav. However, Sahir unexpectedly arrives with Raghav, much to Sanya’s disappointment. Sahir then invites both Sanya and his mother to his sister’s wedding, but Sanya chooses to spend time alone with Raghav. During their shopping for the wedding, Sanya remembers some urgent work and leaves Raghav to settle the bill. Unexpectedly, Riya appears and pays for him, revealing that she still loves Raghav and has not moved on from their relationship.

At Sahir’s sister’s sangeet ceremony, tensions ignite. Raghav plans to reveal the truth about his feelings, but before he can, Sahir confesses he still has unresolved feelings for Sanya. During the celebrations, Sahir tries to kiss Sanya, but she pushes him away, making it clear she does not reciprocate. These revelations lead to a heated confrontation where Raghav admits that his emotional turmoil has deeply affected all his relationships. He expresses that he feels hurt by the betrayals and misunderstandings, feeling caught in a web of love and friendship that has left him emotionally drained. He announces his decision to distance himself, moving to Mumbai to focus on his writing and avoid further heartache.

In Mumbai, Raghav throws himself into completing his screenplay, which is based on his tangled relationships. His boss pushes him to craft a satisfying ending, warning that a poorly concluded story could ruin the film. Struggling with how to give closure to both his story and his life, Raghav ends the script with a tragic yet hopeful note—asking Riya for forgiveness and confessing that he still loves her. His boss approves, and production begins on the film.

Later, Raghav receives troubling news about Sahir. He rushes back to Dehradun, only to learn that Sahir was not in an accident but had been beaten by his father for not fulfilling his dream of joining the Indian Army. Raghav confronts Sahir’s father, which results in a physical altercation, but Sahir, enraged, intervenes and defends his friend, vowing not to let his father harm anyone else. Sahir’s act of defiance rekindles their friendship, and he apologizes for past misunderstandings. He encourages Raghav to reconnect with Sanya, and together they visit her. She is initially taken aback by his sudden reappearance and is unsure of her feelings—she states she wants a peaceful life, free from complications. Raghav then expresses his certainty that he only loves Sanya and vows to pursue their relationship.

In the final stages of filming his movie, Raghav receives a call from Sahir, who now works a simple life at Sanya’s mother’s café. Raghav wonders about Sanya’s whereabouts, suspecting she might not want to speak with him. When he finally finds her, she reveals she still loves him but has been silently waiting for him to come back. Overjoyed, Raghav finally reunites with Sanya. As they prepare to leave together, she notices that Raghav’s script concluded the story with his past relationship with Riya, which makes her laugh. This heartfelt moment marks the happy ending to their emotional journey, symbolizing hope, love, and reconciliation after a long period of confusion, pain, and growth.
