Ramu, Janaki's son, was among the two boys who drowned and was rushed to the hospital along with Prabhakar. Despite medical efforts, Ramu died from the incident, while Prabhakar survived. His death adds to the family's grief but becomes a turning point for reconciliation.

The loss of Ramu is what compels Jaya to offer her son to Janaki.

After accepting Jaya's gift of her son and resolving the family conflict, Janaki received a new professional duty that required her to go abroad. She left with Prabhakar to fulfill this responsibility, marking a new chapter in their lives while maintaining ties with the extended family.
