Pazhanisamy, K. Bhagyaraj, Venkat, and Rajendran are three friends who often ogle girls, and their easygoing bravado sets the tone for a tale of rivalry, schemes, and unexpected loyalties. When an innocent girl named Jaya, Radikaa Sarathkumar, and her family move into the house opposite Pazhanisamy, the trio’s curiosity turns into a running competition to win her favor. From Pazhanisamy’s window, the friends watch Jaya’s home with a mix of mischief and longing, each driven by his own ideas of romance.

The dynamic among the three becomes a test of character. Pazhanisamy, though initially playful, begins to show a more self-serving side: he locks the house and spends his days lounging, smoking, and fixating on Jaya’s household. When Venkat and Rajendran catch him in the act, the trio turns the matter into a contest, each convinced that victory over Jaya’s heart will prove who among them is the bravest, most charming, or most deserving. The tension thickens when Pazhanisamy notices Puppy, a toddler in Jaya’s family, wandering near the road. He saves her in a moment that feels noble at first, carrying her to safety and later telling her mother and Jaya that he saved her from an oncoming lorry. The family’s gratitude weighs on him, and he openly embraces the role of Puppy’s caretaker, helping with chores at home to impress Jaya.

Meanwhile, Rajendran—a college student—adds his own flavor of mischief to the mix. He carries out petty provocations by drawing inappropriate sketches on the class board, then acts as though he’s scolding his classmates for immaturity. A perceptive Hindi teacher happens to notice his theatrics and is impressed by his charm, prompting Rajendran to seek Hindi tutoring. This teacher turns out to be Jaya’s father, who decides to host the tutoring at Rajendran’s house, much to Rajendran’s dismay. The tutoring sessions become a battleground—Rajendran resents the strict regimen and the nagging grandmother who voices her own opinions—leading to a plan for revenge if Jaya does not fall for him.

Venkat hatches a separate scheme: he learns about Jaya’s grandfather from a local shopkeeper and intends to trap the elderly man in a pothole during an early morning jog so he can rescue him and, by accident, win Jaya’s favor. The plan backfires when the grandfather self-rescues from the hole, and Venkat’s follow-up attempts to stage an attack with goons are thwarted by the grandfather’s prowess. Realizing he’s outmatched, Venkat asks to be trained in boxing by the grandfather, a martial artist who lives nearby. The grueling training tests Venkat’s stamina and resolve, and the more he trains, the more he contemplates revenge if Jaya does not choose him.

A curious twist arrives in the form of a soothsayer Pazhanisamy invites to Jaya’s house. The soothsayer foretells that at 7:00 a.m., Jaya’s future groom will cross their home wearing a black shirt and white pants. True to form, Pazhanisamy appears at the appointed moment in those exact clothes, only to be thwarted when Jaya cheekily tells him the forecast described a groom in a white shirt and black pants. Pazhanisamy, stubborn and sure of his own luck, beats the soothsayer in a brief confrontation, and the soothsayer swears he did not lie.

The plot thickens when Venkat submits a love letter to Jaya, and her sister comes home for a visit, noticing the trio’s calculated maneuvers and realizing they are all vying for her sister’s affection. The sister’s practical counsel helps Jaya gauge her own feelings, but a dramatic reveal soon follows: she tells the three friends that she was impregnated by a stranger months earlier, which legally and emotionally complicates whom she should marry. The revelation knocks the wind out of the rivals, and Rajendran and Venkat each turn their attention to their own targets—the Hindi teacher and the grandfather, respectively—while Pazhanisamy remains steadfast in his loyalty to Puppy’s mother and grows closer to Jaya.

In the face of this uncertainty, Jaya’s heart tilts toward Pazhanisamy. She decides that he is her true love, but a final test emerges when a photo in a newspaper shows her father’s former student who works in the United States. She asks Pazhanisamy to locate the stranger and reunite with him, hoping for a straightforward resolution. Pazhanisamy finds a gangster who resembles the man in the photo, and he persuades the gangster to marry Jaya. The gangster intends to take advantage of the situation by selling Jaya to Arabia, threatening a dark turn for her. Jaya, however, reveals the truth to Pazhanisamy and pleads for help, and Pazhanisamy apologizes for misreading the situation. The gangster and his dimwitted henchmen kidnap Jaya, believing they are escaping to Arabia in a jeep.

Venkat, Rajendran, and Pazhanisamy spring into action, pursuing the jeep with courage and cohesion. Jaya’s father and grandfather join the chase, and together they fight to rescue her. The improvised rescue culminates in the dramatic saving of Jaya, and her sister’s blessing allows the couple to marry right there. The wedding scene is crowned by a practical, nearly cinematic touch: the newlyweds use the gangster’s jeep as their wedding chariot, a symbol of the chaotic, comic, and ultimately hopeful journey they endured.

This story threads together friendship, deception, pride, and redemption with a gentle humor that keeps the tone light even as the characters navigate missteps and revelations.
