Five friends—Scott, Steph, Elena, Trevor, and Charlie—arrive in Panama for a vacation filled with partying and adventure. Trevor befriends locals Carmen and Julio, who plant the idea of hiking to a hidden waterfall. Despite warnings, the group agrees to join the trek and spend the night planning the trip.

Carmen describes a beautiful waterfall deep in the jungle and persuades the group to hike there. Julio warns about the Darién Gap and rumors of El Chupacabra, but the lure of adventure overrides caution. The plan to go into the jungle is set.

The friends set off into dense jungle, pushing toward the waterfall while leaving familiar paths behind. The terrain grows harsher and the mood tense as the group struggles with heat and humidity. The decision to veer off-trail seals their isolation.

Trevor and Carmen slip away from the others with the intent to explore the waterfall alone. They begin to hear strange noises echoing through the trees, heightening their unease. The rest of the group remains unaware of their departure.

Carmen vanishes while the others remain distant. They try to call for her, only to find her phone smashed nearby and their devices losing service. The group is suddenly stranded with no contact and no easy way out.

As night falls, the group realizes they are being stalked by an unseen predator. After a glimpse of a wild animal, Charlie is attacked and killed, leaving Elena and Trevor reeling. The survivors scatter, seeking safety and answers.

Scott climbs to higher ground to regain signal and films a distress message, hoping it will reach authorities. He rushes back when he hears a scream and discovers Trevor being dragged by the predator. The tension spikes as the danger closes in.

Following the confrontation, Scott tracks Trevor into a cave and uncovers El Chupacabra's lair, a terrifying revelation of what haunts the jungle. He barely escapes, rejoining Steph and Elena to regroup. The cryptic cave becomes a scene of horror.

Inside the cave, Trevor awakens with a broken leg and finds Carmen's mauled body. He attempts to escape, but is killed by El Chupacabra, sealing his fate. The group is left to confront the loss and continuing threat.

The next day, Scott's distress video goes viral, triggering a formal search and rescue mission by Panama authorities led by Julio. The group braces for professional help as hope returns.

Scott, Steph, and Elena are forced to press on as danger intensifies. Elena runs to flag down an overhead helicopter, but El Chupacabra strikes before help can arrive. The terrifying moment is captured by the helicopter crew.

As the predator closes in, military forces arrive and shoot El Chupacabra, saving Scott and Steph from attack. Elena, Scott, and Steph are rescued amid the chaos as the jungle finally quiets after the danger.
