Bank managers are being murdered across London, sparking panic that reaches Parliament. The killer contacts only a radio reporter on the verge of being sacked for his irreverent attitude toward station and the BBC. Suspicion falls on the lead singer of a rock band known for the song “In the Red,” but, in mystery style, sub‑plots complicate the case.
