Ice Road: Vengeance

Mike McCann, an experienced ice-road trucker, is haunted by the death of his younger brother, Gurty, who perished in an unspecified incident. This tragedy leaves Mike dealing with survivor's guilt, setting the emotional tone for his journey. He decides to travel to Nepal to fulfill Gurty's final wish of having his ashes scattered atop Mount Everest.

In Kodari, opposition figure Ganesh Rai protests the construction of a hydroelectric dam proposed by Rudra Yash, who is backed by a corrupt industrial company. Ganesh's father is killed when mercenaries push his bus off a cliff. Ganesh reports the incident as an accident, but tensions rise as Ganesh fears further threats to his family.

Realizing his father might be targeted next, Vijay hides Ganesh in an isolated cabin in the Annapurna Highlands. The fear of Rudra's mercenaries leads Vijay to take precautions, signifying escalating conflict and danger for the family.

Mike arrives in Kathmandu and teams up with Dhani, a knowledgeable local guide. They join a group of travelers aboard the 'Kiwi Express', including an American professor, Evan Myers, and his daughter Starr, as they undertake the perilous 'Road to the Sky' mountain pass journey.

Vijay boards the bus, but mercenaries Jeet and Yug hijack it in an attempt to kidnap him. Mike punctures the bus tire to stop the hijackers, killing Yug, while Dhani restrains Jeet. Police officer Shankar arrives under Rudra's payroll, complicating the situation.

Vijay is taken to Rudra, who tortures him for information about his father. Mike and Dhani investigate and rescue Vijay just as Rudra kills Myers. They escape on the repaired bus but sustain injuries in the process, emphasizing the mounting danger.

Spike, the spirited Australian driver, orders everyone to carry him on the side of the road, preferring death outside his bus. He then shoots at Rudra’s convoy but is killed. His sacrifice highlights the dangerous terrain and the group's resilience.

The group traverses steep and damaged roads, finally arriving at the Annapurna Highlands. Vijay reunites with his father, and Mike, severely injured, is treated by Dhani. Their arrival marks a brief respite amidst ongoing threats.

As the group crosses the China–Nepal border, Rudra’s mercenaries catch up. Ganesh is killed operating a crane, and later, Jeet and Shankar are murdered. Rudra is pushed off a cliff, ending his pursuit, with the villagers gaining electricity and the river, fulfilling the community’s and Mike’s missions.

Vijay announces the village will benefit from both electricity and water, symbolizing hope and renewal. Mike finally scatters Gurty’s ashes in the Himalayas, fulfilling his brother’s final wish, providing emotional closure for him.

At the airport, Mike says farewell to Dhani and reflects on his journey, including a nostalgic glance at a rope display reminiscent of a moment spent climbing with Gurty. The scene underscores the emotional significance of his pilgrimage.
