Nadya, a girl from Irkutsk, dreams of becoming a figure skater. The famous children's coach Irina Shatalina refuses to take her as a student. Nadya's mother remains supportive, but the coach's denial sets the first major obstacle in her path.

Years of hard work propel Nadya to fame as one of the country’s best skaters. She receives an invitation to join the big leagues and is paired with the famous skater Vladimir Borisovich, known as Vova Leonov. The potential partnership promises major opportunities for Nadya.

Backed by Irina, Sasha Gorin — a hockey player with a stubborn psyche — offers to help Nadya regain her spirit. At first he tests Nadya's resilience with rough methods, but gradually learns to channel her will into rehabilitation. The collaboration begins to restore her mobility and hope.

Sasha's tough but caring approach helps Nadya recover motor function and relearn walking. They train intensely, and empathy grows between them as they rediscover skating basics. Nadya asks Sasha to partner with her on a return number, integrating her hockey roots into a graceful comeback.

During the build-up, Vova tries to sow doubt, hoping Nadya will abandon Sasha. He acts coy and manipulative, even sending Nadya a big teddy bear after a drunken night, which unsettles her and tests her loyalty. Sasha remains steadfast, choosing to support Nadya.
