A dancer finds herself drawn to a reclusive puppeteer, but her ambitious, manipulative manager constantly meddles in the affair. The puppeteer, more fascinated by his own marionettes than by romance, seems emotionally distant. Set amid an unusually whimsical backdrop, the story follows her struggle to discover whether genuine love can survive the manager’s schemes and the puppeteer’s artistic obsessions.
