In 1975, Bhaktawar dominates the Mumbai docks, forcing workers into brutal labor and squeezing profits. Tiger extorts money from the workers to support his father Pratap, who serves as Bhaktawar's enforcer. Tiger also harbors a secret love for Jumma, the sister of his best friend Gonsalves.

Gonsalves publicly opposes Bhaktawar's regime and is killed by Bhaktawar. The violence that follows claims Tiger's father and his stepmother. Tiger now shoulders the burden of caring for his two young half-brothers, Kumar and Vijay.

Tiger resolves to kill Bhaktawar in retaliation. Inspector Girdhar intervenes and reminds him of his dying stepmother's plea to protect his family. He urges Tiger to let the police bring Bhaktawar to justice.

Girdhar and Havaldar Arjun Singh steal money from Bhaktawar's safe and torch Bhaktawar's house to destroy evidence. They murder Bhaktawar's wife and daughter in the blaze, leaving no witnesses.

Police arrest Bhaktawar for the deaths of Tiger's family and send him to jail. Tiger escapes on a train amid the chaos. Jumma refuses to abandon Tiger, insisting his brothers must be cared for.

Girdhar bombs the train carrying Tiger and his brothers to eliminate witnesses. Tiger and his brothers survive the explosion and manage to escape.

Sixteen years later, Tiger has renamed himself Shekhar and built a respectable life as a farmer and timber merchant in Ooty. He remains a protective older brother to Kumar and Vijay, who still see him as their elder.

Kumar has become a police officer and is married to Aarti. They have a daughter named Jyoti.

Vijay studies in college and is in love with Anita. Anita is General Rana Pratap Singh's daughter, who wants her to marry a military officer.

Jumma has become a successful actress, while Girdhar and Havaldar enjoy a luxurious life funded by the stolen money. They have prospered on the ill-gotten gains from Bhaktawar and his gang.

Bhaktawar is released from jail and is manipulated by Girdhar into believing that Tiger killed his family. This false belief fuels Bhaktawar's plan to confront Shekhar.

Tracking Tiger to Ooty, Bhaktawar abducts Aarti and Jyoti in Bangalore and confronts them with his version of Shekhar’s past. Kumar learns Shekhar's true identity and blames him for the kidnapping. Jumma weighs in, reminding them of the sacrifices that kept the family safe.

Jumma explains to Vijay and Kumar the sacrifices Shekhar made to keep the family safe. Her account helps clear the misunderstandings about Tiger's hidden past.

Tiger, Kumar, and Vijay rescue Aarti and Jyoti and reveal that Girdhar murdered Bhaktawar's family. The truth redefines Tiger's role as protector of the family.

Bhaktawar ties himself to a bomb with Girdhar; the explosion kills both of them. The family is finally reunited and lives in happiness.
