Jake, Prang, and Loo arrive in Bangkok for a family vacation. Jake stays preoccupied with work despite the holiday, causing tension within the family. The trip begins as a peaceful family getaway before the chaos unfolds.

While shopping at a mall, a mass shooting erupts, plunging the family into terror. Jake confronts the shooter, Mek, who cryptically calls him 'the Keeper' before triggering an explosion. The shooting turns the vacation into a nightmare of violence.

Jake is killed in the explosion and wakes up in The Hindrance, a liminal realm between life and death. He meets Chan, a novice monk who explains that Jake's death is part of a ritual to open the Gates of Hell. Jake learns he is the prophesied 'Keeper'.

Prang and Loo navigate a city overrun by possessed individuals while searching for safety. Unaware of Jake's death, they find refuge in a hotel. Mek, now possessing Jake's body, begins pursuing them with malicious intent.

In the mortal realm, Jake returns by inhabiting another man's body, equipped with sacred weapons. He faces Mek in a brutal fight, during which Prang mistakenly shoots him, believing he is an imposter, resulting in Jake's return to The Hindrance.

Chan heals Jake and equips him for the final confrontation. Guided by Mek's map, Jake and Chan locate the Gates of Hell, uncovering Mek's plan to sacrifice Loo to fully open the gates. Tensions escalate as the destiny of the world hangs in balance.

Jake fights Mek in a decisive battle at the Gates of Hell, ultimately killing Mek and destroying his soul in The Hindrance. Wichien, the mastermind, attempts to kill Loo, but Prang intervenes in a critical moment, shooting him.

Wichien warns that Jake must enter the gates himself to close them. Jake chooses to accept his fate, bids farewell to his family, and steps into the infernal portal to seal the gates shut, preventing the apocalypse.

With the gates closed, Prang and Loo are reunited with Prang's mother, believing that the nightmare has ended. The family begins to rebuild their lives, unaware of the lingering threat as a mysterious woman appears at the sealed gates.

A mysterious woman arrives at the site of the sealed gates, hinting that the battle between good and evil is far from over. This ending suggests that darkness still lingers, leaving open the possibility of future conflicts.
