In early 1920s New York, Dutch Schultz—once a lieutenant for the notorious Legs Diamond and a schemer alongside Lucky Luciano—befriends a neighborhood mobster as a young man. He learns the criminal trade, then abandons it, joins the police force, and soon uses his inside connections to methodically dismantle the mob from within.
