Radhe argues with his bank manager over not crediting ₹27.50 as interest, and he refuses to accept sloppy accounting. He remains meticulous about every penny and keeps precise logs of his earnings and daily transactions. This incident establishes his obsession with accuracy that will drive the plot.

On a train, Radhe befriends a frequent passenger, Poonam Subash Joshi. She opens up about her pain of losing her spouse, while Radhe reveals that his wife left him and he is raising his child Manu alone. Their budding acquaintance hints at trust forming between them.

A passenger accidentally leaves a file with Radhe; his son spills milk on it, forcing him to inspect the bank statement inside. He notices a 'similar discrepancy' in that statement as well as others, revealing a recurring pattern of small bank fraud. He realizes a systematic cheating of lakhs of people.

Radhe and his friend receive not only a missing small amount but also a reward, a color TV, for their efforts. The bank hopes they will remain silent about the fraud. He is puzzled by the reward but accepts it nonetheless.

Realizing the magnitude, he files a formal police complaint against the bank. He understands that by cheating millions monthly, the bank owners illegally accumulate wealth. The action marks his transition from a concerned citizen to a whistleblower.

The investigating sub-inspector assigned to the case turns out to be P. Subash, the same woman Radhe once turned down for a marriage, due to a belief that she was weak in math. She tries to maintain professional distance, and Radhe accepts that honesty may not come from her.

Micky Mehta is revealed as the corrupt bank owner and mastermind with a huge stash of cash. Ms. Ranganathan, a top official, is investigating and pressures him; Micky warns his politician friend to back off. The politician advises a more cautious approach.

Micky uses influence to trigger an inquiry against Radhe for an alleged INR 17 discrepancy, while also filing false cases about building an illegal plot. The case escalates as construction crews bulldoze Radhe's home while he's inside, and Radhe and his son escape. He is briefly humiliated and threatened by Micky's goons before being rescued.

Radhe's explanations spread to sanitary workers and then to the general public via social media. People begin withdrawing savings, closing accounts, and posting their escape from the scandal. Fear leads to riot-like stampedes at branches nationwide.

P. Subash releases an honest report about her findings and makes it available on the Internet. The public gains a clearer picture of the investigation, challenging the bank's façade and supporting Radhe's case.

Micky attempts to flee the country by private jet, carrying INR 1500 crores in suitcases. An allied plan by Radhe's municipal sanitary workers thwarts the escape and the cash is secretly moved in a garbage truck to Ms. Ranganathan, the top investigating official.

The government recovers all public money as a result of the investigation. A smiling Radhe, his son Manu, and Poonam are shown strolling in a public park, symbolizing a restored sense of normalcy and justice.
